Description The rail itself spans the joists, so there is no mounting board to cut and fix first. It works under ceilings up to 12 feet.
The cam lock grips the rope on every pull. For heavier e-bikes, the 100 lb Bike Hoist is the stronger pick.
RAD Sportz Rail-Mount Bike and Ladder Lift is part of the RAD Sportz range , and it sits on our page about ceiling storage: hoists and lifts .
Before you start You will work overhead or at the top of a stud wall, so set the ladder on a level floor, face it and keep a hand on it while you drive the screws. Fasten the brackets into solid framing (a joist, a rafter or a stud), never into drywall alone, and read the instructions in the box first.
This page is general product information, not building advice. Fasten hoists, hooks and racks into solid framing as the instructions describe, and ask a carpenter if you cannot tell what is behind your ceiling or wall.
