Nylon slings with quick-release buckles that hang from two stainless eyebolts: one boat up to 55 lb, or two boats up to 100 lb together, on a wall or from the ceiling.
Screw the eyebolts into a stud or a joist, hang the slings, set the boat in and buckle it. The whole kit weighs 16 ounces, and the paddles can ride in the same slings.
This is the lightest way in our range to get a kayak off the floor: no brackets to see when the boat is out, and it moves to the shed or under the deck with two screws.
You will work overhead or at the top of a stud wall, so set the ladder on a level floor, face it and keep a hand on it while you drive the screws. Fasten the brackets into solid framing (a joist, a rafter or a stud), never into drywall alone, and read the instructions in the box first.
